School Board Scholars

The “Academic Wall of Fame” was created in 1999 to provide permanent recognition for those who have earned our most coveted academic awards. The “Wall” preserves the district’s history of educational excellence while motivating future generations to work hard at learning.

The title of a School Board Scholar is awarded to students who earn an “A” or an “A+” in every class for the duration of the school year. The students must also be enrolled full time for at least 160 days and have grades for all four quarters of the school year.

This year, scholars were honored and celebrated at the June MVCSC Board of Trustees meeting. Before the meeting began, a cookies and punch reception celebrated the scholars and their families. This year was the 42nd year of honoring School Board Scholars along with the Academic Wall of Fame inductees.

The Mt. Vernon Board of Trustees congratulates the School Board Scholars and Wall of Fame inductees for their impressive academic achievements.
