Academic Excellence

Academic Wall of Fame

At the June 2021 Mt. Vernon Community School Corporation Board Meeting, several students were inducted into the Academic Wall of Fame. Each student received a certificate of achievement and his or her name permanently added to the appropriate plaques on the Academic Wall of Fame located in the Board Room at the Administration Building.

The “Academic Wall of Fame” was created in 1999 to provide permanent recognition for those who have earned our most coveted academic awards. The “Wall” preserves the district’s history of educational excellence while motivating future generations to work hard at learning.

Please visit our Academic Wall of Fame page to learn about all of our inductees!

School Board Scholars

All award-recipients must receive grades of 95% or greater ("A" or "A+") in every class each grading period.  The student must be enrolled full-time for at least 160 days and received grades from all four quarters.

Honored recipients received a certificate, a trophy, and their names were entered permanently into the records of the School Board during its regular monthly meeting held after the School Board Scholars program.
