Enroll into the Mt. Vernon Community School Corporation "Mini Marauder" Preschool!
Students/Families Living in the District:
Living in the district boundaries enables students to automatically attend Mt. Vernon Community School Corporation (MVCSC) schools. Parents of new students should register online through the link below. Bring the following items to the school when registering:
- Copy of student's birth certificate
- Copy of immunization records (click here for details on 2018-2019 immunization requirements)
- Proof of residency (bill with your name and address on it)
- Driver's license or identification card
- Copy of court papers if there is any custody arrangement
- Individual education plan (IEP) if applicable
The Mini-Marauder Preschool WILL accept Out-of-District Transfer Students into the Mini-Marauder Preschool. Parents will NOT need to complete an Out-of-District Transfer application to attend the Mini-Marauder Preschool. MVCSC does want to provide continuity for families and will make room for our Preschool students to attend Kindergarten at Mt. Vernon (assuming there are no significant discipline issues). For incoming Kindergarten students, it is imperative that parents complete the Out-of-District Transfer Application before the child attends Kindergarten during the designated window of application, which is generally in the month of May.
MVCSC administration meets quarterly with the economic development representatives from the county and all three towns in our district to assess housing growth and developments. This information helps Mt. Vernon assess and prepare for future growth.
