Heroes For Health 5K/1M Fun Run/Walk - April 27

Mt. Vernon Community School Corporation extends a heartfelt invitation for your company or personal participation in the inaugural Heroes for Health 5K or 1-mile Fun Run/Walk. This pivotal event is set for April 27, 2024, at 9 a.m. on the scenic grounds of the Mt. Vernon Community School Corporation’s main campus in Fortville. The goal is to cultivate a sense of community wellness, support, and resilience through this engaging event.

The Heroes for Health initiative is designed to champion the mental health and overall well-being of our students and staff. All proceeds will benefit the Mt. Vernon Education Foundation Tony May Legacy Fund, a vital resource for mental health and wellness programs within our school community. In these challenging times, the emphasis on mental wellness is more crucial than ever, and this event serves as a beacon of support and awareness.

As an Individual Participant: Lace up your running shoes and join us on the track. Your registration fee will contribute directly to the cause, and your presence will inspire others.

Join the Heroes for Health 5K Fun Run/Walk and 1-Mile Run, a milestone event for the Mt. Vernon community. Whether you choose to participate as an individual runner, walker, or sponsor, your contribution will echo through the halls of MV schools and the lives of students and staff. Champion the cause of mental health and wellness and leave a legacy of hope and support. 

Participants are encouraged to dress up as their favorite hero (superhero, firefighter, teacher or whoever the person sees as a hero.) This stroller-friendly family event will have vendors and kids' activities.

As a Sponsor: Whether you're looking to contribute as an individual benefactor or through your company, your sponsorship will play a crucial role in the success of this event and the enhancement of mental health resources and programs for our students and staff.
