Superintendent Dr. Parker's First Weekly Video Includes:
With a focus on student safety and learning, we will be accommodating all students regardless of their ability to attend school live or virtually beginning next school year.
It is our intention to begin the school year on Wednesday, July 29 for all students.
Students who are medically fragile, living with family members who are medically fragile, or those who simply cannot attend in-person, will receive virtual learning opportunities delivered by a Mt Vernon teacher.
All students who are able to attend in-person will be able to do so 5-days per week.
With the support of many stakeholders, including our broad-based Back to School Task Force, we are developing plans to provide every reasonable precaution to keep students and staff safe.
Our plan is to provide a DRAFT Plan for review by all parents on July 1 with input collected through a survey before refinements are made and the final plan is communicated by July 15.
Visit our website for more information related to our plans for next year. If you have questions, sign up to talk to Dr. Parker directly in one of the July Virtual Traveling Talks.
