Flyer/Information Distribution Guidelines
for the Mt. Vernon Community School Corporation
The Mt. Vernon Community School Corporation (MVCSC) supports connecting our students and their families with activities or opportunities that serve as a benefit in helping students become their best self (educationally, civically, or physically). MVCSC has established a flyer/information distribution guideline to help define what and how information from partner organizations will be distributed. Each organization that seeks to have a flyer/information distributed should submit an application to the Community Relations Department to be included on this flyer webpage.

Applications will be reviewed on the last business day of each month and if approved, placed on this MVCSC flyer webpage the following month. Information will be posted for one month only. The organization and appropriate school secretaries/staff will be notified of the flyer approval at the beginning of the month. If approved, schools can use their discretion to include approved flyers in their newsletters if space permits. Please note approval of a flyer does not constitute an endorsement by MVCSC, but rather is an opportunity to partner with our community stakeholders.
As per board policy, information promoting a specific political figure/viewpoint/organization will not be approved. Any specific religious organization/viewpoint will also not be approved, excluding student enrichment/sports activities.
Flyers must be relevant to the MVCSC students/community/area
Organizations must be non-profit
PTO’s, Boosters, Mt. Vernon Education Foundation, and school clubs/internal groups are excluded from needing to submit an application, as well as any internal school initiatives. These activities will be handled internally at the school level.
