During her tenure on the School Board of Trustees, Freeman's goals include expanding vocational opportunities for students and to be a voice for MVCSC teachers. She is passionate about supporting students and teachers, and stated, "I believe that our School Board needs to consider how our decisions affect students, teachers and the community. We need to ask questions and ensure that we are not moving too fast or slow in any one direction while understanding that what is best for the students should always come first."
