For Mt. Vernon staff that are on the district’s insurance, Andrea Miles, Activate’s Nurse Practitioner, is scheduled to be on maternity leave beginning in early December. Two other Nurse Practitioners will fill her shoes through mid-March: Susan Conner and Kimberly Jefvert.
Susan Conner has a Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Purdue University, a Master of Science in Child and Family Development from the University of Georgia, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Indiana University.
Susan has had several years of nursing experience and has made a positive impact on many families. She was nominated by family members of a pediatric patient to receive a Red Shoes Award at Riley Hospital for Children for “Outstanding Accomplishments and Contributions to Family Centered Care.”
Kimberly Jefvert has a Master of Science in Nursing in Primary Health Care of the Adult, as well as a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Indiana University. She became certified as an Adult Nurse Practitioner in 1986 and has over 20 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
Not only does Kimberly have experience as a nurse practitioner, but she has also educated others in several nursing programs as well. She has taught at Indiana University, Purdue University, and the St. Elizabeth Hospital School of Nursing over a span of nearly ten years.
Susan will be covering Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays in the Activate clinic, and Kimberly will be covering Tuesdays and Fridays.
We are thrilled to welcome Kimberly and Susan to the MVCSC Activate clinic! We also want to wish Andrea the best of luck as she prepares to welcome her little one; she will be missed!
