New Dell 11" Touch Screen Chromebooks
The Mt. Vernon Community School Corporation is Now a 1:1 Computing District
All Mt. Vernon Community School Corporation (MVCSC) students and staff have been immersed in a technology-rich environment with individual computer devices since fall of 2015. The 1:1 Digital Learning Initiative (one computer device to one student/staff) is a tool to motivate, engage, and challenge students to learn 21st century skills that will be an integral part of virtually every aspect of their daily lives. See below for samples of how technology is integrated with the students.
- Kindergarten through 12th Grade - Students will be provided a Dell Chromebook. Students are responsible for charging their Chromebooks each night and bringing a fully charged Chromebook to school.
- Teachers will be engaged in frequent professional development activities on how to best use digital curriculum in the classroom throughout the school year during Delayed Start Wednesdays.
