Mt. Vernon Middle School offers a wide range of extra-curricular activites for students to get involved in. Mt. Vernon Middle School provides academic competition opportunities and has numerous fine arts or club options to choose from. Mt. Vernon Middle School staff knows that getting students involved in opportunities they are interested in Engages and Empowers students to discover their strengths.
Not only does Mt. Vernon Middle School provide the opportunities, there are multiple extra-curricular activities that are highly competitive and successful. Success is defined here as providing a positive experience that builds students' character, helps identify strengths and enriches the students' lives.

Student athlete guidelines are governed by the athletic department. Guidelines covering eligibility are addressed in the Student Athlete Guidelines in the student handbook. All athletes need athletic participation paperwork on file prior to the first contest. The listed activities are school sanctioned activities at Mt. Vernon Middle School. In the past, MVMS has offered these clubs and participation was a factor of student interest, parent support and staff participation. Club offerings will be determined on an as needed basis culled from student interest.
