State-of-the-Art High Tech Opportunities at MVHS!
Mt. Vernon High School offers a wide range of high tech learning
opportunities for students. Thanks, in part, to an Eli Lilly Cape
Grant in 2003, Mt. Vernon is home to a Microsoft Academy, A+
Certification program, and a state-of-the-art computer modeling and
animation lab. Mt. Vernon was one of the first high schools in the
country to have a 3D Printer and is currently the only high school in
the country to have an Elumen's Vision Dome.
Our modern video production studio allows students to produce a live
daily news and entertainment program called MVTV. The studio utilizes
green screen technology and includes eight editing stations.
Check out some of the MVTV News Team's broadcasts and videos on their
YouTube Channel here: https://www.youtube.com/user/MVTVNewsTeam. Their twitter account is @MVTVLiveNews
Students in Mt. Vernon's CAD/Animation classes receive college credit.
There are Young Film Makers and Animators summer workshops at MVHS for kids aged 10-14. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more
