MVHS is making ripples both statewide and nationwide with student opportunities. MVHS was one of the first high schools in the country to have a 3D printer and is currently the only high school in the country to have an Elumen's Vision Dome. With the high-tech academy at MVHS offering computer animated design (CAD) programs, students can create and publish their own animated video under the leadership of Tom Shaver. Shaver is proud that some students have pursued post-secondary schooling and careers that stemmed from their training at MVHS.
The US News and World Report ranked Mt. Vernon High School as the 21st best high school in Indiana (out of 421 schools). Schools were ranked on college readiness, student to teacher ratio, algebra and English. Additional information can be found here.
