MVHS Class of 2018 Graduation

Graduating Class of 2018

The Class of 2018's graduation went off without a hitch on May 25.  There were approximately 309 students who walked across the stage to receive their diploma.  The graduates seemed ready to move on to their bright futures, prepared with one of the finest academic preparations in the state. Choir Performance at Graduation

The ceremony at the Mt. Vernon High School football turf field began the future of some very excited seniors.  Highlights of the evening included the band performing the prelude as graduates filed into their seats, followed by opening remarks by Assistant Principal Stan Wilkison.  


The salutatorian address was given by Anne Hermann and the valedictorian address was by Matthew Rollo.  The MVHS Commencement Choir sang, followed by the Symphonic Band and the the Wind Ensemble.  The top academic students in the class received their diplomas first, followed by the rest of their classmates in alphabetical order.

Graduation Class of 2018

Soon after, Mr. Greg Roach, Principal of Mt. Vernon High School, addressed the Class of 2018 encouraging the seniors to make a difference, look to give back and to choose what is right.  Mr. Roach then presented the Class of 2018.


Principal Roach gave the final farewell, which was followed by the senior student class president presenting Mt. Vernon High School with a new customized podium.
