The 5th graders enjoyed seeing their personalized app on launch day.  The group presentations included videos of client interviews, fraction games, and demonstrations of the app’s functionality.

Clients were able to practice their fraction skills by playing a fun game that was made based on their likes and interests.  One app was designed based on the 5th grade client’s favorite food, (spaghetti), and animal, (zebra). The client would complete fraction problems to advance the zebra through the talking game.  The end goal was for the zebra to make the spaghetti, Student Showing their Clients how to Play the Appwhich meant the client had completed the game correctly.

To end the launch party, clients and attendees enjoyed some refreshments in the cafeteria while trying out all of the apps designed by the teams. Attendees traveled from table to table and practiced their fraction math skills in a large variety of formats.
