The Mt. Vernon Education Foundation (MVEF) has awarded over 100 teacher-requested grants totaling over $150,000 to Mt. Vernon schools.  Come support MVEF by walking/running a mile with your family, or sign up for the 5K at the 5K/1M Family Fun Run sponsored by the Hancock Regional Hospital on Saturday, September 24.  The MVEF Race begins at the Mt. The MVEF Family Fun Run/Walk will have chip timing once again for those avid exercise enthusiasts.  The event is open to all ages and abilities; preschool and younger are free.

  • Race packet pick-up is Friday, September 23 at the MVHS cafeteria from 4 - 7 p.m., as well as the morning of the race.
  • The race takes place on and around the Mt. Vernon campus, beginning and ending at the MVHS track.
