SAT PREP COURSE AT MV

Do you want to do well on the SAT?  MT. Vernon H.S. will be offering an SAT Prep class during the month of September.  The class is on Mondays and Wednesdays for 1 and 1/2 hours after school.  The cost is $95.  Class size is limited so pick up a gold flyer in the Counseling Office  for more information and get signed up ASAP.  The deadline to sign-up is August 26th as materials have to be ordered.

STUDENTS MUST DISPLAY PARKING PERMIT SOON

All student drivers will be required to get a parking tag for their vehicles. There will be no cost for the parking tags. In order to get a parking tag, students must go to the MVHS Athletic Department website and submit the online forms. Also, students must print out the “Drive on School Grounds Application” from the MVHS website, fill it out completely and bring it to the MVHS Main Office to get a parking tag. Parking tags may be picked up before school, during SRT and after school until 4:00 pm.

The Town of Fortville has an ordinance calling for a ticket to be written for any vehicles in the student parking lot that do not display a valid parking tag. The ticket will be written for the owner of the vehicle. The fine for this violation is $25 per daily occurrence.

The deadline for obtaining a parking tag and displaying it in a vehicle on school grounds is Friday, August 28th.  Beginning Monday, August 31st, the Fortville Police Department will begin writing tickets for vehicles that do not display a valid parking tag.
