Good afternoon! I hope everyone had a great week! Here is what is going on in Kindergarten:
-This week I sent home some assessments I did with students (letters, numbers, counting, shapes). I am also working on a letter sound assessment with them so you should get that one sometime next week. I wanted to show you what they know so they can practice before our first report card. I am going to send home a copy of what the first 9 weeks assessment looks like and some of the stuff they need to work on and practice. I will send it sometime next week.
-Monday, Aug. 21 “Day turns to Night” FES Eclipse Party & Pajama Day!!! Your child can wear their pajamas to school :). Also we will be borrowing some special glasses to wear when we go out to watch as the eclipse gets ready to take place. If you don't want your child to participate please let me know.
-The FES PTO is holding their first meeting on Monday, August 21st at 6:00pm in the FES Cafeteria. All adults are welcome and encouraged to attend!
-Thursday, Aug. 31 School fees due!! Last day to enroll in mobile device protection plan with payment! Payment plans due to office treasurer!
-Here soon we will be sending home information on our upcoming field trips.
-Next week we will be working on:
* writing names, forming letters when we write, correct pencil grip, sight words "I" and "like", quick overview of the letters Pp-Tt (we will be focusing on a letter/sound a week in September), numbers, counting, shapes, and colors.
Thank you so much for everything you do at home to help your child succeed! I appreciate you all so much! If you have any questions or concerns please let me know! Have a great weekend!! :)
