Meet Your Teacher

  Mrs. McCoskey

Hello! I am thrilled to be your child's first grade teacher this school year. This is my third year of teaching, and I am excited to be apart of such a good community at Fortville Elementary. I served as a permanent substitute, a kindergarten specials teacher and a resource instructional assistant at another school system before coming to my new home. My first year at Fortville I taught kindergarten. Last year I taught first grade and loved it.

I am a born and raised Hoosier from Fishers. I was the first graduating class at Fishers High School in 2008. After a lot of thought and to my parents' joy (my parents and many other family members attended this school), I chose a small and private college, Manchester College/University. I received my Bachelor's degree in elementary education with an endorsement in high ability. Go Spartans!

In my spare time I enjoy exercising, reading, watching movies, playing with my cat and dog, Athena, Achilles and Cleopatra (Cleo for short), and spending time with my family. I recently got married, in December, to my best friend, Brandt. We love relaxing at home or going on new adventures together.
