Oct. 13 vs Plainfield Middle School - Your
Marauders closed out the season with a 2-1 win over Plainfield improving
their record to 10-2-0 on the season. Goals were scored by Noah
Laughlin and Carson Jones. The lone assist of the game came off
the foot of JP Adams. Matt McKinney collected 9 more saves on the
season. Your Marauders finished the season on an 8 game winning
streak, tying the longest streak in MVMS Boys' Soccer history.
Oct. 11 vs Perry Meridian - Your Marauders
traveled to Perry Meridian to face the Mustangs who were lead by a kid
who entered the game with 26 goals in 12 games. Noah Laughlin,
Jarrod Marker and Zach Roach held him scoreless in the first half.
Meanwhile, Noah Powell did quick work of the Mustang's defense scoring
two goals in the first half to send your Marauders into half-time with a
2-0 lead. In the second half, Perry Meridian's top soccer was able
to find the back of the net early to register his 27th goal of the
season. However, Jarrod Marker and the rest of the MVMS defense
were able to stand tall and preserve the win. Your Marauders are
now 9-2-0 with one game left Thursday at home against the Quakers from
Plainfield Middle School. Noah Laughlin and Josh Williams both
collected an assist on the night. Also, Matt McKinney with his 11
saves on the evening moved into first place on the MVMS Boys' Soccer
All-Time Single Season Save Leader Board with 76 saves on the season.

Oct. 5 vs Doe Creek Middle - MVMS
boys soccer traveled to Doe Creek and beat them for the second time in a
week. They improved to 8-2-0 on the season with a hard fought 1-0
win. Miles Wayer scored the lone goal of the game off a corner
kick from Seth Luke. Matt McKinney was stellar in goal once again
with 5 saves and registering his 7th shutout of the season.
Oct. 4 vs Eastwood Middle - Your MVMS Boys
Soccer team improved to 7-2-0 last night with a 4-0 win over Eastwood
Middle School. Goals were scored by Carson Jones, Jarrod Marker,
Noah Powell and Seth Luke. Devin Nelson had 2 assists on the
evening and Gabe Pellom collected one assist. In goal Matt
McKinney registered his 3rd shutout in a row and 6th of the season while
bringing in six saves last night.
Sept. 28 vs Doe Creek - Your MVMS boys'
soccer team improved their record to 6-2-0. Noah Powell had a hat
trick scoring all three of the Marauders goals in the first half.
Devin Nelson and Zach Roach each collected an assist on the evening.
Matt McKinney scooped up 7 saves in collecting his 5th shutout of the
season.
Sept. 27 vs Northview Middle School -
Your MVMS Boys Soccer team did something no boys in the 7 year history
of MVMS soccer did and that is beat Northview Middle School. The
boys won 3-0 last night. Noah Powell scored 2 goals and Devin
Nelson scored the third. Your assists were by Seth Luke and Timmy
Clone. Matt McKinney picked up his 4th shutout of the season
collecting 6 saves on the night. The win moves their record to 5
wins 2 losses on the season. |
