Parents and students: We had class discussions in math together (5/3/12) regarding bullying. If you would like to see the song and video we watched, go to bullycide.org. The song is called "Wanda's Song," and it is on YouTube. We have wonderful students and families in Mt. Vernon and we watched this today to remind us that we need to always treat each other with respect. Our words and actions can really hurt others. I was impressed with each class and how honest and open they were. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Math - Period 2 (9:40-10:30)
Students were given a review packet last week that is pretty challenging. This will be worked on in class, and not homework. It will be collected as late as Friday for extra credit (partial credit for partially complete packets may be given). It is more of a preview for next year. Many students will be taking PreAlgebra. This packet is from our former PreAlgebra book.

our Math Final which will be Tuesday, May 22nd. We are taking a new test for NWEA today in all math classes. They offered our school corporation a stipend to help them collect data and develop their new test. The scores appear to be within range of typical scores for most students. Some were unable to finish, they will not need to make it up. This is just to help the company and our school. |
