be able to register (you must have a working email address) to have your official
high school transcript, as well as the Secondary School Report (eSSR),
also known as the Counselor Page, sent to schools of your choice. This is an easy,
secure way to send your transcript to colleges that
you are applying to. Plus, you will receive confirmation via email when
your transcript and eSSR have been received by the college(s) of your choice. |
|
| What are
colleges looking for when considering admitting new students? |
| Most colleges look at 6 key items: GPA,
Class Rank, SAT/ACT scores, Strength of Schedule - Have you chosen classes that
are challenging? (i.e. Honors, AP, Foreign Language, Math, and Science
courses), Community Service, and Extra-Curricular
Activities (particularly if you have demonstrated leadership in
your extra-curriculars). |
| |
| How long will it
take to hear back from a college once I submit my application? |
| It typically takes 4-6 weeks to receive an
admissions decision from a college once they receive your application. |
| |
| What happens if
I am admitted to a college during the Fall of my Senior year, but then my
grades drop in the Spring? |
| Beware of SENIORITIS! If you receive a letter
of admittance, that admittance is conditional upon you completing the rest
of your Senior year successfully. Upon graduation, a FINAL COPY of your
transcript will be sent to your chosen school so that they can verify that
you have maintained standards necessary to be admitted to their school. |
