The Mt. Vernon Community School Corporation is the community's center for cultural activities and lifelong learning, and a lighthouse corporation for public education. All graduates are guaranteed to possess the knowledge and skills necessary to enter the workforce or go on to various post-secondary opportunities.

           Partnerships among business and industry, colleges and universities, local agencies, the school corporation, and the citizens of the district enable the Corporation to offer training and/or re-training and recreational opportunities for all residents of the school district.
