Dr. Shane Robbins ~ Superintendent
Dr. Robbins is the visionary leader of MVCSC and is committed to ensuring all students receive a quality education.  His approach is one that values a comprehensive blended learning environment embracing the variety of learning styles possessed by students at Mt. Vernon.  He oversees all district operations and staff.

Mr. Mike Horton ~ Assistant Superintendent
Mr. Horton directs the operational aspects of MVCSC including transportation, buildings and grounds as well as custodial services. He serves as the Title IX officer for the corporation and is the hearing officer for student discipline.

Dr. Jeff Bond ~ Director of Curriculum & Assessment
Dr. Bond oversees the K-12 curriculum for Mt. Vernon Community Schools, District Accreditation, Student Teaching Placements,  Higher Education Partnerships and services as the director of High Ability Programming. Dr. Bond has served as a teacher, coach and administrator but most recently served as the dean of the school of education at a private university in Tennessee.

Dr. Tim Long ~ Director of Operations
Dr. Long's primary responsibilities include Transportation and Facilities, and will help with administrative functions where needed, including the new International Outreach.  Long has spent 34 years in public education, most recently as a school superintendent for 24 years

Mr. Brian Tomamichel ~ Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Tomamichel manages the MVCSC budget and oversees all business functions of the district including all accounting and payroll functions.

Academic Preparation: 
Tomamichel received his bachelor of science from Indiana University in the Kelley School of Business with a double major in accounting and finance, as well as a minor in economics.  He is currently participating in a two year Saturday MBA cohort program at the University of Indianapolis and is expected to finish the program in December 2017.

 


Mr. Greg Rollo ~ Director of Technology
Mr. Rollo is responsible for the district’s technology initiatives. He oversees the overall planning, organizing, and execution of all IT functions at MVCSC.  His responsibilities include: directing all building level IT operations, support and maintenance of existing applications, and development of new technical solutions.

Ms. Laura Durig ~ Director of Special Education
Ms. Durig is responsible for ensuring that our students who have disabilities receive a free and appropriate public education.  Ms. Durig works closely with teachers and related service personnel supporting their capacity to meet the individualized educational needs of our students.   Additionally, Ms. Durig is the director for our new Early Learning Academy.

Mrs. Maria Bond ~ Director of Community Relations
Mrs. Bond manages the internal and external marketing/communications initiatives throughout the community, with the goal to maintain a positive perception of MVCSC’s district. Media relations, collateral materials, website, communications and marketing initiatives engage the community, staff and parents with MVCSC’s mission as the overarching directive.

Academic Preparation: 
Bond received her bachelor of science at Ball State University in Journalism with Advertising and Public Relations Options, as well as a Marketing minor.  She has also received training in fundraising and grant writing through the IUPUI Fundraising School during her time as the inaugural Executive Director of the Mt. Vernon Education Foundation.
