Dr. Shane Robbins ~ Superintendent
Dr. Robbins is the visionary leader of MVCSC and is committed to ensuring all students receive a quality education. His approach is one that values a comprehensive blended learning environment embracing the variety of learning styles possessed by students at Mt. Vernon. He oversees all district operations and staff.

Dr. Tim Long ~ Assistant Superintendent
Dr. Long directs the operational aspects of MVCSC including transportation, buildings and grounds, and helps with administrative functions, including the new International Outreach. Long has spent over 34 years in public education, most recently as a school superintendent for 24 years.

Mr. Scott Shipley ~ Director of Secondary Education
Mr. Shipley works directly with the staff and principals at the middle and high school to develop programming, curriculum, and professional learning opportunities. He manages instructional support services and all government reports for secondary education. He has been an administrator with Mt. Vernon since 2004.

Mrs. Heather Noesges ~ Director of Elementary Education
Mrs. Noesges is responsible for organizing and supervising elementary staff in the development and reporting of standards-based curriculum, instruction, and assessment. She directs the coordination of instructional support services and all required local, state, regional, and federal reports for elementary curriculum, instruction, and assessment.

Mr. Chris Smedley ~ Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Smedley manages the budget for the district and oversees the business operations for the school corporation, including all accounting and payroll functions. He has over 20 years of service in public education, including 15 years as a school administrator.

Mr. Greg Rollo ~ Director of Technology
Mr. Rollo is responsible for the district’s technology initiatives. He oversees the overall planning, organizing, and execution of all IT functions at MVCSC. His responsibilities include: directing all building level IT operations, support and maintenance of existing applications, and development of new technical solutions.

Ms. Laura Durig ~ Director of Special Education
Ms. Durig is responsible for ensuring that our students who have disabilities receive a free and appropriate public education. Ms. Durig works closely with teachers and related service personnel supporting their capacity to meet the individualized educational needs of our students. Additionally, Ms. Durig is the director for our new Early Learning Academy.

Mrs. Maria Bond ~ Director of Community Relations
Mrs. Bond manages the internal and external marketing/communications initiatives throughout the community, with the goal to maintain a positive perception of MVCSC’s district. Media relations, collateral materials, website, communications and marketing initiatives engage the community, staff and parents with MVCSC’s mission as the overarching directive.
Bond received her bachelor of science at Ball State University in Journalism with Advertising and Public Relations Options, as well as a Marketing minor. She has also received training in fundraising and grant writing through the IUPUI Fundraising School during her time as the inaugural Executive Director of the Mt. Vernon Education Foundation.

Mr. Derek Shelton was a 1988 graduate of Mt. Vernon High School and a 1993 graduate of Butler University.
