The 8 Grade Academy's Walk-on-Water science experiment was a splashing success! Over 70 teams competed in the project that challenged students to use their critical thinking skills. The team had to build a float that would allow one member of their team to "walk" across the length of the pool. The floats were not tested until the day of the challenge.
The project is designed to test the students with their knowledge on problem-solving and the scientific method. If the float sank before it crossed the pool, the team was out of the competition. Many teams got in the spirit of the event and dressed up in their theme. Tutu's, suits and Dr. Seuss's Thing 1 - 4 were all in attendance this year. It was a fun day for all involved!
